Le Corbusier was a pioneering Swiss-French architect, designer, painter, urban planner, writer, and one of the key figures of what is now known as modern architecture. His Unité d'habitation in Berlin, though initially disowned by him, is a significant example of his brutalist style and was later designated a historic monument.
