Professor Michael Griffin graduated from UCG in 1974 and has extensive experience in general practice. He holds diplomas in Children's Health and from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, as well as a certificate in Family Planning. Professor Griffin founded the Student Health Services Centre at the University of Limerick and was instrumental in establishing the Mid-West GP Training Scheme. He specialises in Sports Medicine and has served as medical officer for various Irish rugby teams.
